    Shotgun fitting?

Is there anyone in the SF Bay Area who is recommended to do a shotgun fitting? I hunted the dove opener with a new gun and missed way more than I should have. Started looking at Youtube videos and I'm sure I could benefit from the gun fitting me better. I have a Stoeger M3000 (yes a budget gun ) and comes with stock shims. I could fiddle around with it myself but help from someone who knows what to look for would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

I would seriously start with classes / clinics.

You can get wood stocks boiled in oil and bent to fit your face...

I would think you would want to be solid shooting with hunting loads first before you could benefit from a fitting.

Dove loads in CA are strange... they patter differently than lead practice ammo. The rounds slow faster so they need more lead on longer shots...

What ammo are you using for Dove?

When you shoot skeet with the same dove ammo, what is a typical score?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

If you’re willing to drive to Stockton gr Nemo can do it. There’s another guy in valley springs that only does shotgun fittings.

Martinez gun club has a guy with a booth/trailer on site that does fitting on the spot. You can try it on tbe range after and he will adjust anything more if needed.

In my opinion: avoid this guy like the plague! He seems to always wanna cut your stock to pieces. JMHO

                Maybe it’s not the gun.

Go shoot some clay targets and maybe shoot at a pattern board. If you haven’t been shooting much, get a new gun and go dove hunting, expect tp miss.

I plan to pattern my gun with the shells I use. I only shoot shotgun a few times each year. I'm just missing more than I think I should. With my old pump gun before I got the M3000 I had way more hits. I can tell just by shouldering the gun and what my sight picture looks like that I need to make some adjustments.
