I used to think shotguns were somewhat crude and they were for old people and those who can't shoot straight. However, that view has changed and I was eager to give shotguns a go.
Picked up my Beretta 1301 Tactical LE model today. Went a little crazy with shotshells(?) since I wanted to try a wide array including 7.5 & 8 shot, 1, 4, & 00 buck, low-recoil (not sure if they'll cycle), and slugs.
Also went a little nuts with parts since I initially was going to buy a base tactical model and add a Magpul SGA stock, Aridus adapter, and other Mesa tactical parts. And I did pick up an Aridus Zhukov handguard today.
I have a basic shotgun class this week and plan on taking 3-4 additional classes before the end of the year. I've found the fastest way to get smart on something is to have someone who knows a lot more than me to educate me.
