Anyone have any reviews on these shotguns? I have read a lot of reviews on these guns from a few years ago, and it seemed like they had a lot of firing pin issues. Just wondering if they had fixed that problem. They are on sale at Big 5 right now for like $460, and it seems like a pretty good deal. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would recommend saving some more dough a spending about 1000 on a used Citori, Winchester 101, Ruger Red Label, Weatherby Orion or maybe a deal on a Beretta. About twice the price for 10x the quality.

    Yes, it will throw lead.
Bottom line ...You get what you pay for.

I got one. It's ok. Nothing really wrong with it, it fires and functions just fine.

The machining is a bit rough in plenty of places, but that's just an aesthetics issue.

They're worth the cost, but they don't cost much

It'd be worth going over to www.shotgunworld.com and searching there - there's a lot of feedback on the Mossberg.

The O/U forum has lots of threads on inexpensive starter guns with many recommendations, as well.

Thanks guys for the input. Shotgunworld did have quite a bit of current reviews on it, and it seems they have ironed out that old firing pin issue. It seems like a great deal for a low budget hunting/trap gun. Thanks guys.
