Heat was not too bad around 6pm and we started maybe about 6:30pm. The lights did not come on until 8:30pm and it was about that time that I was loosing sight of the targets. Then we shot station 15(?) and definitely needed the lights. Then we broke for dinner and I was pooped out.

I live for the rabbit station. Glad it was up and running.

      Thanks for the update.
I thought if you were starting around 6 it might still be a little hot.
But when I was outside around 6:30, it really didn't seem to bad.

I'll have to try and make the next one.

Uh... yeah... the sun was going down.... that's why I missed That's my excuse and I'm sticking by it!

Wasn't too bad though. I was a warm evening, but not uncomfortable. Once you're there, you tend to shoot even if it means that I'm drenched in sweat.

        Good weekday distraction

I have a different take on things.
I had just finished working a 10 hour day in a building without air conditioning. So to me, it felt real nice out there. I had fun shooting with the guys, but I was worn out. I ran out of eye drops, my eyes were getting really dry and by the time the lights came on, I had a hard time seeing any of the targets.

MD, are you hooked on the 28ga?
            Fun little pop-gun isn't it

Yes... that is a fun little gun, I shot it pretty well. But in reality, its not that little. I definitely noticed the extra couple inches on the barrel. My 30" seems short compared to the 32"

The browning felt very very familiar. I can't go wrong.

Would still like to try the Beretta 28ga sporting before I break open the piggy bank. But make no mistake about it, the piggy bank will be opened!

Yeah, it is longer...BUT, the balance is good. I've always found 32" 12ga Brownings to be muzzle heavy. I think in 12ga, 30" is the sweet spot with a Browning. The 32" 28ga feels, to me anyway, to have the same balance as the 30" 12ga.
We should set up another shoot with David T. and have him bring his Beretta for you to try. Given your size, I'd bet the Browning will win.

What's funny to me...I shot my Zoli for 5 years. I've had the Browning for 4 months...The Zoli feels odd and wrong when I pick it up now. There's much to be said about fit and feel...

I definitely thought the longer barrel slowed down the swing process. I would bet that a 28" barrel would feel too light. That's too bad because the shorter barrel is much, much kinder on the wallet in that gauge.

David did kindly offer his Beretta to try. I want to take him up on it just to satisfy my curiosity.

Part of me thinks that I don't want two guns that feel exactly alike. The fact that I think I want a different feel is why I haven't just gone to PSA and bought a new 725 28ga (yet).

Also have the idea of a SXS lurking in the back of my head.

                  I'm so confused!

                    That's the ticket!

If we could just get Cory to bring back the fun-gun shoot.

While it is a longer moment arm, it is lighter. To me the 32" 28ga gets moving very close to the same as the 30" 12ga. Mount, stance and how we rotate our body has a lot to do with it

To each their own for sure. For me, differences in feel makes me think about the gun, not the target. You are wise to try many different guns before you buy. Who knows, maybe you are a Beretta guy

I put a deposit down on a 28ga SxS, it was supposed to be here 3 months ago...Still no word on it. I need to call PSA and see what's going on with it.

I think I'm going to test my relationship with my wife and take her to PSA with me to look at 28 gauges.

Have her look at the P and K guns...

She'll be okay with the B guns after that
