I have found that if you put a need out there, someone will come to help you.

I was looking for some Shotgun Primers and started a thread over at Castboolits. Took one day until a guy local to me came forward and sold me 2 bricks of Cheddite's for $60 each. Not a horrible price considering the times and no shipping involved as he was local and 20 minutes away.

One other guy wanted to sell me the same Cheddite's for $75/1000 and claimed that Midway was selling them for that. Except Midway has never sold Cheddite's and all of their Domestic Brands are priced at $75 but "no stock," and you can bet that when Larry Potterfield gets stock he won't be gouging on the price.

BPI's price on Cheddite's is $37.99/1000 but stock is sporadic.

Anyway just thought I'd let you know that there are good people out there who are willing to help.

Yes, but divide that hazmat by 5 and you end up paying $47.49/1000.
Still better than $70/1000.

They have been dropping primers on a regular basis since the lock down. You just had to be quick . There is no reason to pay $150 per 1k. The price is now $75 , but through March it was $35-47 and that includes hazmat and shipping . $235 for 5000 federal gold match SPP. Now it’s limit 2k . Stock up , all estimates is that this shortage has a few years left. Suddenly buying 40,000 primers doesn’t seem excessive.

A few months ago I paid $33/1000 (local, no hazmat). The current price at BPI is $50/1000 when you add in the hazmat, so $75 is still expensive.
I don't have 40k worth, but I do have enough to last several years. While I don't need anything at the moment, I still look. I got a reasonable deal on some Clay Dot a couple weeks ago, 4lbs/$116. If I find a reasonable deal I will but it...No one knows how long this mess will last.

Be careful, that inventory isn't live. They are finally filling my back order from April 21... They were in stock then, so I ordered. I got an email a week later saying they were no longer available. More came in stock, but my back order wasn't filled. I cried foul, and they promised it would ship when they got their next batch in. They did and I'm happy. Fortunately, we didn't run out.

I was told this morning that Phillips in Azusa had primers. Cheddite's for @$35/1000. Don't now if there is a limit. That is a 2 hour drive for me, so I call first and try to pay over the phone so I don't get there and get screwed.

The ones I got Monday were a 20 minute drive and I made a new friend so it was all good. There's another 1000 waiting for me there as well and I'll get them in a month when he gets back. He's a Long Haul Trucker.
