I guess if you're sitting in a darned rocking chair, it's pretty functional. But I don't think many life or death situations occur while you're sitting in a comfy chair shooting at sheet metal and clay that doesn't shoot back.
I dunno, I'm not impressed with the xrail.Comment

Very functional if you are just sitting in a high back chair and shooting on steel plates that does not moved or shoot back at you. Unfortunately in the real world it aint so, and if you cannot finished the job with 5 or 6 rounds then I think you have the wrong tool.Comment

I think the chair is supposed to simulate shooting from a moving car in a break from ambush situation. Depending on how reliable it is and how easy to load, that could be far more usable than detachable mag types. I say this, because it looks a lot handier and more maneuverable in tight quarters (like a car) than something like a Saiga 12 with a drum would be. 2.5X as many rounds as 10 rd box mags. MIGHT be easier to reload than drum mags, and you're not really going to carry around a bunch of drum mags.
I don't know, I'm far from convinced that the thing is a great idea, but it might be. It would be a lot more interesting to see that drill run with an actual car or SUV in the rig and a comparison between Saiga and that thing. I tend to think a Saiga with a drum backed up by 10rd box mags for reloads would be better in real world applications.
OTOH, I suppose that does qualify as a tubular magazine, so maybe for some legal jurisdictions, that would be an easy way to have lots of firepower in a car gun for personal or protective detail kind of work *shrug*Comment

>10rds = no for CA
Would be damned heavy. A box of 12ga at the end of the shotgun.
And that stage? ROFL... Flintstones car simulation?

Ap,
While I see your point I've never met or spoken with a gunfight survivor who at the time wished for a smaller gun or less ammunition.sigpicComment
