    A few q about Benelli M1s90

    I just got a new toy, a M1s90. 18", ghostring.

    1) The fore-end rattles quite a little bit, is there a way to FIX that? I kinda want it "solid"...

    2) What's a good sling for it?

    3) Is there a front sling mount for it?

    4) I want top rail for it, any suggestion how to get one on there? And which one to get?

    5) Lastly, with the current "mag extension" tube, do I need to use a "clamp"? ie. "BARREL/MAG TUBE SUPPORT BRACKET"??

    Thanks!!!!

    1) I used a bit of strategically placed duct tape under the handguards of mine to eliminate rattle on my M1. Perhaps an O-ring of some sort?
    2) Don't like slings on my shotguns, sorry. If I did install one, however, it'd be a simple two point sling.
    3) Yes, mine looks like the one in this guy's listing: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=192411
    4) I think Mesa Tactical makes one for the M2 (shellcarrier/rail combo), don't know if it'll fit the M1. Might have to drill & tap. Just know that adding weight to a Benelli's receiver might affect how well it cycles.
    5) I'd get one, just in case. In fact, Nordic Components makes one w/ a rail. You can add a sling swivel to that and kill two birds.

So, your fore-end is loose too??

I would test it at the range with birdshot/low recoil loads before relying on it for HD or classes/matches. The M1's recoil operation may experience cycling issues when the weight of the gun is altered by attaching accessories (such as side saddles) and they are a bit picky when it comes to loads in general, particularly low recoil loads.

It looks like you may be missing the front sling attachment that is included with the gun; it goes between the mag tube extension and the forearm which may explain the rattling.
