Benelli Super Nova Pump - Case

    Hello all,

I finally decided to get a shotgun and I plan on buying the Benelli SuperNova Pump. I live in a apartment complex. Walking around with a typical shotgun/rifle case will be obvious and I don't want my neighbors knowing I have a firearm.

I was looking for a discrete way to get the shotgun to my car. Guitar cases are to small, unless I disassemble the shotgun. I started looking into duffel bags, and went down a rabbit hole, lol. Do any of you know if the Benelli SuperNova Pump will fit into these bags? The shotgun is 49.5 inches long. I assume all 28" pump shotguns run the same length (give or take). I don't know the hight of the shotguns shoulder stock. Will it clear these bags?

Im tying to keep the case cost below $100. Im looking for a "transport case". I have a nice storage case for the house.

The Gator bag is 50" with no padding (I could add some), then theres the choke. I think that might be a tight fit. The Gravity bag is longer and padded.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

    Gator Speaker Stand Bag 50 - 50" x 10" x 5" - $20

    Ultimate Support Bag-99 - 60.5" x 10.5" - $50

    Gravity BG SS 1 XLB - 58.6 X 6.7 x 5.9 - $60
The BGSS 1 XLB is a heavy duty speaker stand bag with 10 mm padding that holds a single stand. The bag is made from tough 1680D nylon that is water repellent and easy to clean. The bottom and all other points of stress are reinforced for...

This outfit makes a garment bag to carry your weapons. Trouble is it's 40 inches long and I don't know if you could get your shotgun in on an angle.

Somebody else might make something similar. Nobody pays attention to clothes you're taking/getting back from the cleaners, something along that theme might work.

    Good luck

BTW: I can't see what would stop you from getting a regular garment bag, long enough, and working in a soft rifle case inside. Velcro is cheap.

      Incognito?

Go buy a cheap set of golf clubs & bag from used items store. Put your SG in a silicone sock so it doesn't get scratched and throw a driver sock on top. Nobody will care, especially if you get an obviously cheap set.

Let's just say I know that it works.

Take your barrel off. Wrap barrel in old pants. Wrap the other part of your gun in another pair of old pants. Stick both pieces in an old medium to large size duffel bag.

No one will ever be the wiser.

As suggested, take the barrel off. It's easy. Get a small electronic keyboard case with pick'n'pull foam and they will think you are a musician, especially if the case has a bold logo like Roland or Yamaha.

After reading this, curiosity got the best of me, and I searched around.

Here's a link to a page of nothing but black, non-descript garment bags, from $10-$300.00 plus, for carrying the gun w/o taking the barrel off if you choose.

Taking the barrel off is fine too, but if it were me, I'd buy 1 or 2 of these (I need one for the cleaners anyway), and Velcro a soft case into position inside one, which would not draw the least bit of attention from anybody.

A few of these are flimsy, a number of them are well made.

Ever see "Ronin"? This discussion makes me think of what they were asking thru the whole movie.... "What's in the Case?"

I ended up buying a bag to put my shotgun bag into. I was going to get a kids snowboard bag.But then I found this volleyball bag for $40. Its a better fit. Also, I live in a beach town and play volleyball so it makes for better concealment.

Its a 28" shotgun. The Allen bag is 52". Ive still got 5" inches of length in the volleyball bag and I could easily fit a rifle in there as well Thank for all the ideas! I got the bag from parksun.com
