    New competition pump gun: Benelli Nova Speed



    ~2 minutes long.

    They cut a lot of left side receiver away to ease loading, plastic receiver cladding gone ( different receiver? different gun from basic Nova? ) flip up rear sight on the rib, safety behind trigger...very interesting!

              Once while out hunting quail after I shot all 3 shells from my 870 Wingmaster, my friend turned to me and said "man you shoot that automatic fast."

              I had been shooting that gun for 10+ years.

                  I think that Benelli is adding an inertia spring in the recoil bolt carrier that operates like the semi-auto Benellis in that the spring compression and expansion helps to open the bolt. My Winchester 1200 shotgun operates in a similar way. The spring causes the the shotgun bolt to open easier. The main problem with the Winchester is the stupid stamped ejector which is very delicate and can cause jams. The superior ejector of the Benelli will make this a great shotgun.

                                  The only thing I cna see that would be beneficial is an undercut loading port so you could quad load more efficiently. My M500's are faster to Ejection Port Load than load thru the loading port.
