New 870 Project for my trip home

Looks like I may get a chance to throw a C7R 870 together when I go home.



Yes I know she looks ugly... but for $65 shipped what can you expect?

I would like to do this one as an SBS with a factory law enforcement stock... (the SBS part may have to wait a bit as I don't think I will have the paperwork done in time for this trip)

Also finances are tight... so I'll probably have to wait on getting the LEO stock.

I think I already have the bolt assembly, trigger assembly, a couple of barrels to choose from, and I may possibly have a forearm tube for it...

I want to use the old school 'tactical' butler creek handle for it... just because it will be slightly out of the ordinary and a little different...

I'll do the next one as the kill bill SBS clone (I have the stock set for that set aside...)

Can't wait to be able to buy the proper tax stamps...

Gotta love C&R guns..... this girl is waiting for me back in LA.... should be a fun little project for when I get back home.

I don't know too much about gun refinishing. I'm really intrigued by this project though. Is it possible to get all the corrosion off without detriment to the structure of the shotgun?
