    Emil Laport

I had a couple requests to post this firearm.

This is a Emile Laport & Cie

    Smooth bore Percussion.

I don't know shotguns very well, but the bore is around the size of 41 cal.

Would this one be a shotgun or a "bullet" gun?

Damascus barrel and lack of rear sight. Only a bead on muzzle. Screams shotgun.

Here is a spit'n image of yours that sold recently.

Interesting small framed Belgian proofed half stock fowler or smoothbore rifle? Bore is about 3/8's diameter. 31 1/2 inch barrel looks to have a very nice bor

Interesting. that auction is the same rifle as I have. SAME ONE.
I mean not the same model, but the exact same rifle. It has all the same marks on it!
Same photos as the guy that sold it to me here on the classified sections!

I bought it from a guy here in California in 2013 for $125 (like I said, from the CALGUNS classifieds).
I met the guy in Pleasanton (I think or Dublin). And bought it in a parking lot! LOL

I wonder what that was all about?
someone used the photos and posted in Gun Auctions. I hope no one got taken.

That auction was in 2006, so that is probably the same rifle sold to someone 7 years before you bought it. Very interesting!

I returned the FIFY favor. No Rifling, and no sights isn't really a rifle is it.

I didn't even notice the date of auction.

But Hey technically 14 yrs is "recent" on a 130 yr old shotgun.

Yeah, put me in the "shotgun" camp. Beautiful piece, thanks for posting the pics.

So in 7 years, he lost $81. Too bad.

Back in 2013 (when I bought it), I had a "problem" passing on any firearm under $100! LOL

It's a light rifle (shotgun) for sure. They called it a "child or woman's" rifle, but it fits me pretty good and I'm 6"-0". I think it was probably for small game.

I've never heard the term "Garden gun" before. But that might be more appropriate from how it sounds.

Damascend barrel smoothbore. Old ugly shotgun will give you 2k 209 primers and a real hotties phone number for it.

                      Thank you but ....no.

I appreciate the offer, but just a phone number is not going to do me any good ...these days!
