Norinco 982 ...

Anyone know how I can get a Norinco 982? I have looked high and low both at retail and online.

I know it is imported as a Norinco 982 and a IAC (Interstate Arms Corp) Hawk 982.

I haven't had much luck trying to track one down. Had Big 5 look all over and they said they haven't sold them since 2004.

Came across this page for IAC shotguns which seems to give contacts to dealers for making orders:

Saw a few on gunbroker, but they prices were poor especially when considering shipping and FFL fees.

The shipment from China is been delayed for some reason. I have been told they will arrive in the US in about 8 weeks, maybe sooner. The last time they were imported was last summer. That's reason for the shortage and they are very popular now.

How did you find this out? After they are imported, where will I be able to find them?

I spoke with someone who talked to IAC and that is what they were told.

The Pardner Protector is basically the same shotgun & they are also made by Norinco and last summer was also the last time they were imported. They are starting show up @ the dealer distributors. Several of my suppliers have them in stock. I have a couple of them in stock now.

The big chain stores will probably get them first because they buy the most at one time, then the dealer distributors. That means any dealer can get them. Last summer several of my suppliers had a couple hundred in stock. I will post when they come in. I check on them every few days @ my distributors websites.
