    rifle slugs

    i got a mossburg 500 12 gauge combo set. 28 inch barrel modified choke. 18 inch barrel cylinder bore. can i shoot rifle slugs out of these barrels. i want to be safe and not cause damage to my shotgun. any suggestions. thank you

    Rifled slugs should be good to go out of your 18" barrel. The modified choke I believe is too tight.

    Slugs need either a cylinder or an improved cylinder choke to function properly.

      i shoot the winchester rifled slugs from walmart all the time out of the 18" barrel. Everything seems fine

        Standard Rifled Slugs are safe to shoot out of all standard chokes to Full. Either the slugs are undersized or they are designed to swage down through the choke.

          Either barrel is fine.
          I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

          When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
