I picked up a barrel for my mossberg 500 in 20 gauge, brand new from Mossberg.

I initially bought one off of eBay - what a disaster that was. Eventually was able to return it and got my money back.

I’d stay away from used. Be patient and wait until it comes in stock. Check back every couple of days. Good luck.

Just go on Ebay and look. Search "Mossberg 500 barrels."

There is probably 25-30 on there and the prices are all over the place but high compared to a year ago.

Last year I got a 18.5" barrel with rifle sights for $125. Now there is 1 on there for $325,https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Mossbe...sAAOSwLBBgC~Ai

and another without sights for $320

These are panic prices an anyone paying these prices has really got to want one bad.

^ Love it! Which one do you have? Mine is not ribbed, I'd prefer the rib. And a better front sight.

I originally did it for a turkey gun and rattle canned it on the back patio, as it's much less size and mass to swing or move for them to see when getting in a firing position. But I used it once for ducks and it pissed off all the purists and guys shooting multt-thousand-dollar autos, so I use it all the time for ducks and brand now, because it works just as well and makes people so mad it's hilarious.

Kind of like my 20" triangle handguard A1 lookalike chambered in 7.62x39. Old timers love it, ask to look at it, then cuss me out when they see it's in a commie caliber.

That's exactly how I want my setup to be! But with a red reflex sight on the receiver.

Once at the range I felt bad for this old Vietnam vet who looked like he was getting physically sick looking at my buddy shooting this cool old Chicom SKS...

Mossberg doesn't make these anymore? This barrel is literally what I was looking for.

I just did the DROS for this gun yesterday.

Those things were always hard to find. I don't know when the last time Mossberg did run of them, but I was looking for one a couple years ago, well before Covid panic. Couldn't find one anywhere. I was told they were discontinued then, but they could always have been revived.

I would love to have a chokable 20 inch with a vent rib. I have long barrel vent rib Winchester 1300 I don't really have a use for. I have client with a machine shop I can borrow, I am planning to cut it down as soon as I can find the time. Even with access to a lathe, I might send it out to thread for chokes. I don't have that much confidence in my skills, but on the other hand I don't have that much invested in the gun, so maybe I will go for it.
