    Retay shotguns

Has anyone ever heard of Retay shotguns? I received an email that a local store is having a sale on them. I thought about picking one up as they sound pretty nice, however, I have never heard of them. I am curious if anyone here has any experience or first hand knowledge of them. Any info is appreciated.

I hadn't heard of SKB until my Dad came home with one. If you like the Retay, buy it.

IME the "Benelli click" is highly exaggerated.

All autos should be allow to "slam" home, but I've never had an issue with a "press check" either.

Now the cross-bolt safety on some of my Marlins? Different answer. The Marlin "Kachung". But I don't generally hunt with them so no real grief.

I've handled Retay shotguns a fair bit, but I've only had a chance to shoot one 1 time. They seem well put together, fit and finish is decent, but I think they're a bit overpriced for a Turkish shotgun.

I went and checked them out yesterday. Pretty nice gun. Fit and finish was good. Gun didn't fit me very well and salesperson said they don't come with shims. That was a bummer. I would like to shoot one. The push button drop out trigger assembly is a really nice feature. They are pretty light too. I was hoping they had a 20 gauge but all they had were 12's in stock. Because of the sale, the price is pretty enticing though. Will have to see if they come with shims or how much a shim kit would cost.
