Where to Buy?

I'm not much into shotguns. Mentioned that to a mostly non-gun owning friend (has one Glock) looking for a shotgun and coupled it with "I have only a half dozen" ...... Got a quizzical look response.

He's looking for a plain old 12 Gauge pump, newly made and Mossberg is preferred but Turkish or PI made is fine also. Not interested in a bunch of add ons. Basically wants to drive a short distance in Bay/East Bay area, buy the thing and return 10 days later for PU. Not a browser, not into getting anything else. Has the FSC, CDL, etc.

Any stores within a 45 minute drive of SF, East Bay Lamorinda that fit the bill?

I know things are real light, especially on the plastic semi pistols. But I've managed to pick up some revolvers, rifles with no issues the last few weeks. Then again, I know I have a gun buying "problem".

Check Sportsman's Warehouse online. After 10 pm each night. They have some. But online, ship to store.

I've seen multiple Mossberg Maverick 88's in stock at different Big 5's scattered across Southern California. They're a great, budget friendly shotgun for newbies. It was my first shotgun and I have zero regrets learning on that platform. They're $300 brand new.

I know you're in the Bay Area, but could always have your friend call around on the days they receive shipments (ask the store Manager).
