First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.

Doesn't mesa tactical make one? Or you might have to get the side saddle holder and rail separate, but they absolutely make both.... -
yeah i might have to get them separate. i just like the look of them as one piece. you know its nice and cleanOriginally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?

They don't make one for the Mossberg 500, AFAIK. Problem is, on the Mossbergs the safety switch is top mounted. Ergo there's no room for it in the rear of the receiver and they'd have to put mount too far foreword for it to work.
I assume these particular style mounts are meant specifically for the Remington since it doesn't come pre drilled and tapped. Since Mossbergs are good to go for a mount right out of the box, you can just pop a rail on and secure it.
The benefit to this more traditional mounting solution is, in my opinion anyway, you're getting a stronger hold. The saddle style rails are merely held in by the trigger pins. I think you get greater locking performance out of securing the rail into a drilled and tapped receiver with screws.Comment

ideally what i would want is a rail that screws into the reciever, with a shell holder attached to that. i think ill have to break out the plasma cutter and mig welder i guessOriginally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?
