Any idea what this is?

I noticed this dark, black type “stain” on the inside of my forend and I’m not sure what it could be (or if it’s something I should worry about). Any ideas? I don’t over oil my gun so I don’t think it’s oil that has seeped down into the forend. I sometimes use a silicon cloth on my barrels - could that be it?

EDIT - the black line is hard to see in the first picture. It’s about halfway down on the left side of the forend. The second picture shows it better, and it’s on the top right side of the forend.

the pictures aren't that great but it is probably either oils from your hand/barrels or burnishing from the heat/vibration from the barrels... though the pictures are rather small so can't be sure about anything

^ This, and if it's not a crack in the wood it's probably nothing to worry about.

Looks to me like oil stains. Not a expert here but that has happened to me with furniture.
