Tube mag is less cumbersome to handle
Detachable mag is faster to reload

        ?

I believe that everyone is discussing Remington since the 870DM is a shotgun formerly made by Remington.

Have you ran one? You wouldn't say that if you had.

They are clubs like Alley Oop carried to deal with Dinosaurs!

I will say that the Mossberg magazines are far superior to the Remington ones but that still doesn't make them handle any better.

There is a really good reason why both companies dropped this product.

They weren't selling because they are awkward to carry and use.

Seemed like a Good Idea, but so did the Delorean

A 00 Buck shell weighs 1.7 oz., 10 weigh 17 oz. The magazine itself weighs 23 oz. so that is 40 oz (2.5 lbs.)hanging off the gun,,, not to mention the fact that the thing is in the way when you rack the slide.

Sell it,,, buy a proper shotgun when you can find one. Don't look back.

Seeing what they are selling for on fleabay I could sell my one mag and recoup most of my cost for the whole shotgun
If you can convert it back to tube fed, selling that singular magazine might cover the entire cost. AI&P Tactical would be the source for knowledge on such a retrofit; JD has posted to this forum in the past; I’ve purchased parts from him, he is GTG, and does custom 870 builds.
