870 Express vs. 870 Express Tactical???

As you can see im kinda new to the site, and I mostly lurk due to the fact I've found answers to questions with the Search Function. Im in the market to buy another HD shotgun and im set on picking up a Rem 870 7-shot with 18-18.5" barrel and non-reflective finish. And I don't want to spend the $700+ on a 870 Police. I was at Fowlers in Orange the other day and came across an 870 Tactical. (tactical was engraved in the receiver) Seems like the middle model between a basic Express and the Police model.

So....Can anyone tell me the difference between the Rem 870 Express (model # 25077) and Rem 870 Tactical (model #81198)? Besides door breacher/choke tube on the barrel and the XS Ring sights?

    Link to Express Tactical: http://www.remington.com/products/fi...s_tactical.asp

    Thanks for your help,
    Nick

The Remington 870 Tactical Express is a hell of a deal.

Nice rail mounted GRS & rail - $130 @ least
Tapped for choke tubes - $50
    Breacher choke - worth $50
    Receiver drilled & tapped for a mount - $60
Black oxide finish - cost more than blue finish
    SpeedFeed LE forend - $20

$300 worth of add ons if you had them done aftermarket to model # 25077

Remington is really offering value on this shotgun, which surprises me.

But now I got one more question, what are the differences between: Parkerized, Grey Powder Coat, Blasted Black Oxide, and Matte Black?

I would go with the Black Oxide because it will be easy to refinish if you ever needed to. Just degrease and apply a bake on finish over it.
