looking to get started

Can anyone reccomend a class or instructor in or near OC to go over the basics for a first timer. Have rifles and pistols but no shotgun experience.
Also any tips on first purchase would be greatly appreciated, leaning towards over/under with synthetic stock for ease of maintenance. Versatility preferred ie I want to try all the sports with one gun if possible then upgrade to a more specialized gun. Thanks in advance

It would help if we knew what use you plan for your shotgun. Home defense/tactical? Clays? Birds?
