Hello Calguns,

I am seeking beta testers for a 3D-printed Kel Tec KSG/KS7 Buttpad Adapter I have created. The beta testers would need to test the fitment, function, and durability of the adapter.

Background
KSG and KS7 owners have only two aftermarket options for recoil pads: the Kel Tec Extended Buttpad or a Limbsaver/Pachmayr Slip-On. The problem with the OEM Kel Tec Extended Buttpad is that it does not reduce the felt recoil as much as the Limbsaver/Pachmayr. The Slip-On recoil pad, while comfortable, is unsightly. This adapter offers a flat surface behind the KSG/KS7 stock that allows users to attach a Limbsaver Airtech precision-fit recoil pad, which is more permanent than the Slip-On and also makes shooting much more comfortable.

Description
The 3D-printed adapter is a direct drop-in adapter for the stock KSG/KS7 buttpad. It is printed with TPU plastic with 20% infill and is flexible. Installation is simple. The adapter is not a recoil pad.

Requirements
1. You have access to a Kel Tec KSG/KS7 (any generation).
2. You are willing to purchase a Limbsaver Airtech precision-fit recoil pad (or similar flat-sided recoil pad) and attach using superglue or epoxy it to the adapter.
3. You are willing to provide feedback after using the adapter.

FAQ
1. Which Limbsaver recoil pads will fit?
The Limbsaver 10802 is the one I've personally tested. But it seems like the 10801, 10806, 10808, and 10814 are also similar in size and may be used.
2. How do I attach the recoil pad to the adapter?
Currently the easiest way is to super glue or epoxy the two pieces together. Although I am exploring other viable options. Do not drill or otherwise puncture the adapter.

If only it were for the KS7. I load and shoot slugs every range day so I'd be a perfect candidate. Limbsaver add on helps a ton so its a lot more fun. Best of luck finding owners. I've only run into one person with a KSG so far and I go weekly

You know the funny thing is that the KS7 buttpad looks exactly the same as the KSG's. On their manuals they both have the same part number as well: 380. If you are interested I can still send you one and you can tell me whether it fits or not. This would be an interesting experiment. PM me!

Currently abusing the heck out of gen 1 and it is great so far. I received an updated version but have not destroyed the first one yet. Debating to just get another limbsaver to just throw it on. For the KS7, a tear down is not necessary to take off the stock

On the KTOG.org website there are several threads on building an adapter to allow the use of the Limbsaver recoil pad. I built one (actually two) by hand. It was a long involved process and in my case the adapter does what it is suppose to do but is just OK. The Limbsaver was a good addition to the KSG.
The OP adapter looks like a much cleaner way to fit one.
Good luck on development - I hope they work out well for you and wish these had been available a few months ago.
The only question I would have is - how big is the market?
