    M2 Field for 3 gun

OK, I'm getting the 3 gun itch. I've got a M2 Field (left handed) with a 28" barrel. For 3 gun do I simply need to change to a 21" barrel and install a 5 shot extension? Do I need a sling or an other mods/additions?

And can someone recommend the best (most cost effective) place to purchase these items? I must confess I know a million places to order AR parts but I'm clueless where to get stuff for my Benelli.

    Thanks!

Your 28" barrel is ok, you don't need a shorter one unless you really want one. Get a Nordic compenents or DMW mag tube and clamp. You want at least 8 in the tube for USPSA or up to 10+ for non-uspsa matches. After that you may want a set of sight for slug shooting and depending on how you load you may want a C-rum shell lifter/loading gate. You can buy from Nordic direct or just Google to find a place that retails the parts. www.speedshooter.com and www.shootersconnection.com sell 3-gun accessories and there are others out there.

You'll need a few shell carriers too, enough to carry at least 20 shells, more is better. Belt carriers or the ones that mount on the shotgun are ok its your preference. FYI, the really fast guys load off the, belt 4 at a time.

Practice loading, that's the time killer in 3-gun with a shotgun.
    where are my pistol mags?

Thanks TMC. So I'm assuming maneuverability with a 28" barrel is not an issue on most courses. If I did want a 21" barrel, any idea where to get one other than going to my local shop and asking them to order one from Benelli?

Buy another gun. Some of the mods to a 3 gun shotgun you might not want on your hunting gun. Barrels are hard to come by and not cheap. Benelli sucks for getting barrels either that or the 4 dealers I've been to are FOS.

        Good luck.

1/3-1/2 the price of the gun new? That is big money for a shotgun barrel.
