Is it legal to buy 80's 870 folding stock shotgun. It says LEO only, but it is an old gun.

Check the laws on overall length. If you are in compliance when folded you should be ok.

The barrel must be longer than 18 inches and the overall length must be longer than 26 inches when it's folded. You can google the Penal Code for verification.

I can't imagine why you would want something like that. The classic wooden stock is so much more versatile and comfortable to shoot.

If your talking about the remington top folder stock marked "law enforcement only", yes it is legal to buy. That stamp doesn't mean anything legally, just cool factor.
