Beautiful gun. I had the same problem with cycling the first 50 rounds or so from my Saiga 12. Just when I began to fear that the gun I had waited so many weeks for was a complete dud, it started ejecting a bit better. After I cleaned the gas tube out, and gave it a second set of lube it started to just barely cycle federal birdshot. So I kept switching between federal birdshot, buckshot and some slugs. After about 100 rounds I was back to just birdshot and it cycled it perfectly.

All the S12's seem to really need a break in period for low power loads.

This gun is a lot of fun to shoot and everybody I have let try it has enjoyed it tremendously. After a rapid fire sequence, it is fun to see 60 year old guys grinning and laughing like school girls after all ten are sent down range in under 2 seconds.

I have not tried slugs yet, only Fed Bulk and AAs (a few WWB).

Having the gas block "worked on" fixed all FTF/FTE problems with all the rounds even the WWB when the gas block is adjusted correctly.

The longer stock also helps me aim the gun better so when shooting clays or what ever, it works better for me. The screw (used to make it a fixed stock) does not effect cheek weld.

The Tomex shark muzzle break does not seem to make any difference when shooting, but it looks cool.

Anyone find the aftermarket magazines a bit difficult to load?

what email address did you try for PRKarms? they're pretty good about responding to stuff, but some emails do slip between the cracks....

Did you try contacting them with more than one email?

I only tried the one email, as I waited for a response I found the page on Saiga 12 that explained my issue/question and answered it for me. I did not feel the need to call or email again as I knew the issue and the fix after reading the web page.

It would have cost me more to pay for buy a foam box and pay shipping to & back then to have my gunsmith friend fix the problem.

I also asked a similar question when they posted about "new" pricing on their shotguns and the Tromix conversions. It is my opionion that their conversion while top notch, does not look at the gas ports/block.

I very much enjoy my shotgun, and think that PRKArms does a top notch conversion, they just did not "do anything" with my gas block/gas ports.

I have not had any issues with loading my magazines. The only "trick" I can think of is to make sure the shell is pressed all the way back before trying to add the next round.

I guess it only needs a break-in period. I had one before and it did the same way. Mine wasn't converted or whatsoever but after 100 rounds it is running as it is suppose to be.
