    Shot gun range

Anyone recommend an outside gun range for shot guns around SF Bay Area?
Bought used Rem 870 Mag and looking to shot a few a fixed paper targets.
I'm thinking of buck shot, bird shot for now. Slugs at later date.

Coyote Sporting is great place to shoot...they have a patterning board but sometimes you need to wait for the station near it to empty...
Wilson Protector .45, Springer 9mm Loaded, Franchi Instinct SL .12ga. and some other cool stuff for the kiddos...

They wouldn't want the OP to shoot buckshot at the pattern board.

              Richmond Rod & Gun Club

United Sportsmen (the public range in Concord) has a patterning board, but no place to set up and shoot paper targets. Trap and skeet shooting only.

Richmond Rod and Gun Club has 2 lanes for shotgun target practice at the 25-yard handgun range. You can set up paper targets and shoot whatever you want (slugs, buckshot, birdshot, etc.).

                Most indoor ranges allow shotguns.

I'm only really familiar with Reeds.

                Good for punching paper.

Pattern board is for patterning, not for "exercising", and it is 40 yards away, no "tacticool" distance.
There is also a metal pattern board, behind trap stations, but also not for "exercising"

Los Gatos gun range, and the range has a tin can range where you can shoot the buckshot. Bring your own tin can, aka, empty cola aluminum cans.

And, its cold there, and no signal inside the range.

livermore pistol and range. it's been a while but last i remember, the pistol/rifle range will allow shotgun but only slugs.

else OP, try your hand at the trap range down the hill (you'll see the trap shooting area first as you enter the grounds).
