    tactical shotty

    I have a winchester 1300 speed PUMP.
I am looking into putting on a pistol grip/front pistol grip/ m4 style butt-stock and 18 inch barrel (currently 26").
    1) is this a legal configuration?
    2) will it meet the overall length requirement?

you should change "shotty" to shotgun before you get flamed
and yes its fine in that configuration.

1 - Yes. Pumps arent a headache like a semi auto is.
2 - Is the overall length of the shotgun 26" or more from barrel tip to the end of the fully collapsed butt stock? If so, then yes.
      To women and gunpowder!
Live by one, die by the other.
But I love the smell of both....

Yes just make sure that the over all length of the gun is more than 26 inches with the butt-stock in its shortest configuration and if it is not at least 26" that it can not fire until the overall length reaches at least 26" with the butt-stock fully or partially extended

I did the same to my 1300 camp defender, go the exta mile and get the Knoxx stock for it, it is worth the money.

+1 for the Knoxx SpecOps stock with the recoil system in it. If you plan on shooting buckshot or slugs, your shoulder will thank you for using this stock.

if i put this stock on it will it be over the overall length requirement? (with an 18" barrel)?
how about any m4 style stock and 18" barrel?
Point being: I do not want to buy a new 18" barrel and m4 style buttstock just to assemble it and find out it is too short...

Yeah, it should be. I have a remington 870 express with an 18" barrel on it, and I use that stock.

WTF is a '"shotty"? Guess it must be similar to 'sh-tty'.

Fun names for those who favor 'tacticool', over useful and 'matching colors' over actual use.
