Bought a Hornady shotgun wall safe and was thinking about where to mount it. I want to mount it to the back of a sold core door. Not solid wood, but MDF or something. I like the back of the door location as I will cover with jacket or bathrobe to conceal. Wondering what people think of the ability for someone to rip it off the door as opposed to mounting on wall to a stud. The safe covers the trigger / outfeed area and has a second piece that stabilizes the end of the barrel making it harder to use the barrel length as a lever to pull it off the wall. See picture. My biggest concern is if we are robbed when not home and they have time to try. Any advice would be appreciated.
