    Streamlight TI-Racker forend

Anyone have any experience with this forend? I'm considering getting one for my 590A1... the Surefire forend always seemed overpriced to me but this one looks to be reasonable.

The Surefire is over priced, though you can find them for $200 in the marketplace from time to time. My friend has a racket on his shotty, played with it the other day. It functions well, but I didn’t like it. I had to reach to far forward for my T Rex arms to reach.

Went ahead and ordered it... saw a few fairly positive reviews on YouTube. Will report back post-range results!

It's a great peice. The surefire bangs the ever living crap out of your hand under buck or slug recoil due to how it dips down for the light.

Everything Surefire makes is way over priced! I went with the Magpul Fore end and 3" pic rail and a Streamlight TLR1. Much cheaper and you can take it off when you don't need it on the gun.

Uh what? This problem has not surfaced as I don't run the fore end from out there. It is ran from the back end.

Also I can turn the light on either "Momentary" or "Full On" easily and then move my hand back when firing. In any event, my hand is moving with the fore end not against it. IE; I'm not pushing the fore end forward, all pressure is towards the back which allows me to ride the recoil and rack the slide as soon as the bolt is released.

I learned this technique by shooting Skeet with my Ithaca 37.

Been using lights like this on 2 different M 500's for 10 years now, and like I said, "Ouch" hasn't surfaced.

                Maybe you should try it.

I have actually,,, 4 times! The Black Gun is my 20"Tactical Gun and the Gray Gun is my HD Gun. Have shot both in Front Sight Classes extensively and in my Local 3 gun shoots. Just ran the black one last weekend. I have done 5 Front Sight Shotgun classes and shot my A5 in Class #4 It doesn't have a light. After class #3 (4 day) I pretty much had running a Tactical Shotgun down to where it no longer beat me up. Now I can shoot a 4 day class with only a Tee Shirt on and not have a mark on me. The light has never been a problem.

Not seeing a whole lot of experience here with these types of weapons.

Just came in today, and apparently they bumped the illumination up from 850 to 1000 lumens. Kinda ridiculously bright but I'll take it. Feels good in the hand, the area where you grip the forend has a texture similar to light stippling... almost feels like a rubberized hogue texture.

                          Will be installing this weekend.

Lets see it on the gun. I like Streamlight Products much better than the other outfit which is way too proud of their products, mainly because the Govt buys them and they can get away with ridiculous prices.

Plus that, they Condescended to me at SHOT when I called them out on Pricing and Price Gouging..

I'll never buy anything with Surefire on it!
