    Remington 870 DM Magpul

Is it California legal? I was searching in Gun Genie Gallery of guns and I cant find it. I first was thinking of getting a Keltech KSG as my first and last shotgun. But i thought this could be more reliable and practical.

Yes it is legal in CA. It is pump action not semi-automatic as far as the magazine goes.

The variant of this that would not be legal is the is the 870 TAC-14DM. SBS.

Yes the gun was discontinued, and the Mossberg Mag Fed gun will be going away soon as well.

These guns handle poorly and offer no real advantage in operation to a conventional gun with a tube mag.

Thanks for confirming sir. The reason i like it is as a Home defense gun its quicker to load as here in CA its not allowed to keep a weapon loaded.

https://www.hornadysecurity.com/rapi...n-wall-lock#!/ as it is certified child-proof if you have kids in the home.

I have several loaded guns in my home but I don't have minors or prohibited adults in my home. if you have either best talk with a lawyer familiar with california gun matters and confirm your planned storage meets the letter of the law.

Since when? There is no law to that affect. Who told you that, the local Health Commissioner?

Not having an HD gun loaded and ready to go, is like is like having an Ambulance with no gas in it.

And beside who would know if it was loaded or not? Are you really going to tell them?

PS: if you go to a Shotgun Class they will teach you how to load the gun really fast. Much faster than fiddling with a stupid magazine.

The Mossberg holds 10 in the mag and is still available but who knows for how much longer. I have seen 3 at 3 different shops recently. Black Aces produces a mag fed/pump action bullpup shotgun available to Californians if what you want is mag fed. Mag fed shotguns have a cool factor to them, but for all intended purposes a pump action is a practical/logical choice. The only real complaints i’ve seen with mag fed shotguns is mag lockup/wobble and how that may lead to possible failures. Owned a VEPR 12 semi-auto (ca fixed mag), bad *** shotgun, but I sold it and kept my tube fed shotguns. Reason being that if I ever needed to switch to a different type of ammo, I can reach into my pocket and load 2,3,4 rounds of whatever, fire those and go back to whatever I was shooting without having to carry/remember what/how many of what I have in which mag? Also, mags are expensive and by the time you buy your second mag, you’re into two 870 police magnum trade in’s...well kinda lol (depending on seller/condition).

Thanks for the info, got myself a Vline shotgun safe it arrived yesterday. It fits up to a 42 inch long shotgun. I want to buy a Remington 870 Marine magnum when Soprtmams supply in Campbell opens up.

Well I am hopeful the suit against the bay area counties calling lgs non-essential results in shops able to open next week. Hearing for the permanent injunction preventing the county from calling 2a non-essential is Wed, we will see, though even if court finds for us/2A I bet there is an immediate stay by 9th circus of appeals.
