Which electronic sight for HD shotgun?

micro dot type? Like a Holosun 403?

Reflex type, like a Burris FastFire?

    Or Eotech type?

    Will be receiver mounted.

Curious if one type is better than others for a shotgun. Full stock, 18.5" barrel.

    Thanks!

Nothing needed for HD. Just point and slam the trigger.
We are killing running rabbits, flying ducks and dove at 40+ yards, can't you hit a human-size target at 10?

But man, you have opened a can of worms, i'm reaching for my popcorn, whare this image disappeared?

I understand, I won't use it for actual home defense, more for just screwing around blasting in the desert.

RMR is one that is very reliable
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Went with an aim point T2. Trijicon makes a couple of very good models too.

So you don't need it for HD but just for blasting in the desert. Consider a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot. Inexpensive, but those guys on the Taofledermaus YT channel use one to hit targets out to 100-yds on their shotgun without any damage or loss of zero to the TRS-25.
Impressed me enough to consider getting one, and I own 3 holoscopes, an Aimpoint, ACOG, Leupold plus a bunch of cheaper red dots and laser sights.

At Front Sight, years ago, the Pistol class I was in went head-to-head against the shotgun class in a timed "shoot the bad-guys head peeking behind the hostage" steel target. It was amazing to see how fast and precise the shotgunners were with just trusting their gun mount and no fancy sights. The shotgun class beat the handgun class in precision and time (the instructors said this happened 9/10 times).

Since then, after years of me shooting clays with a full choke, it is still amazing to me the precision you can achieve with no sights at all.

I've done this and got beat by the shotguns too!

Haven't got to be the shotgunner in that drill yet.
