I'm looking into a Remy V3. I'm curious on their quality of their fit & finish? I'm familiar with Mossbergs. I think those leave a lot to be desired in terms for fit & finish. Not looking for Benelli or Beretta quality but definitely something better. Thanks guys

Remington V3 fit & finish?
History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymesTags: None -
OP,
I bought my v3 Field Sport in Dec 2018 and have been using primarily for sporting clays. I think v3 has great values for the money. The finishing of V3 is not as great as 1100, but its price should justify. V3 is noticeably soft shooting and swings well. I shortened the stock to 13.5" to fit me. FYI - Remington sells shim kits for V3. Hope this helps.

Thank you man. I really appreciate the info. How'd you shorten the LOP? When I checked Remington's website, there was no LOP measurement published. How long did your's come?OP,

The original LOP was 14.25". The gun fitting was done by R&D Custom Barrel in Pico Rivera. Actually, the owner Bob Day did gun fitting for all my shotguns except for my Mossberg 500. Bob is also a calgunner and posts in this board. If you are considering a professional gun fitting, I'd highly recommend Bob.

The "Camo" itself is a very good protective layer. The water/salt does not touch the metal unless you start using break/carburetor cleaners on your shotgun. And yes, IMO for a waterfall gun the camo is the must, not because of the beauty, but because of the protection it provides.
PS. I tried many shotguns and found that V3 is currently the best in it's price range.
Mechanically i'd say it is much better than the much more expensive guns, very soft shooter, eats whatever food you offer, swings great especially 26" barrel for me....., the finish... yes, but do not forget, it is not a $1,500 gunLast edited by Boarhuntor; 05-05-2020, 11:25 AM.Comment

No clue what a V3 is, but all my Remingtons work perfectly. Fit and finish is more than adequate.
870's and versamax here, versamax is my favorite shotgun much more than my benelli.
My benelli is obviously better fit/finish, but has a weird manipulation quirk where the bolt gets stuck.Comment

They are a step up from mossberg that's for sure but are not one of the B guns.
I live my versamax and have thousands of rounds through it. I want a V3 walnut 26" one of these daysNRA Endowment Life Member
