Beretta 1301 Comp - Stock change for dummies

Hey guys,

I am trying to change out my original stock for a magpul. I was able to remove the original stock but can't figure out how to remove the metal rod.

Please help this newbie...

A crap ton of force. It has thread locker on it. Mine was a on there pretty good.

Heat it with a heat gun to soften the loctite

Once you take off the stock, there should be a couple of small flats on the rod to put a wrench on to twist it off.
