    Whats the nastiest...

Hardest hitting, loudest, most uncomfortable rounds you've put through your shotgun?

Personally, I picked up some assorted 12 gauge ammo from a local gun shop, 97 rounds for $8

In this assortment there were "Western Maximum Load" 2 3/4 #6 shot. I've searched but cant find any info on these shells but what I can tell you is they are POWERFUL. First one I fired surprised the hell out of me and knocked me off balance. We were at the skeet range and every time I fired one of these off everyone would stop shooting and see what I was shooting. They greatly extended my skeet shooting range from my 18" barrel as well.

Haha, that's awesome. Where are you shooting skeet where they'll let you use #6 shot? All of the ranges around me require #7.5 and up.

I've never heard of the "Western Maximum Load," but it sure sounds fun.

A Place To Shoot near Santa Clarita. I have some 3" Mag 1 1/4oz slugs that should feel nice but i dont like shooting my expensive ammo at dirt or steel. Now if I could get myself to a place and just so happened to have a milk jug full of say.. Red Jello I might...

I fired a buddies 10 Gauge over under with 3 1/2 magnums in it (a while ago, so I don't remember what specific shells other than 3 1/2's) and just for fun discharged both barrels together. I managed to not get knocked on my ***......barely I won't do that again. But I was in my 20's and you know the rest.....

Yeah..........10g 3-1/2" mags are "spirited". Luckily, my Ithaca Mag-10 is VERY heavy and gas operated; makes shooting 2.5 oz of shot per round tolerable.

3" mags out of my Benelli M1 S90 is not exactly comfortable.

This. The 3" Remington Sluggers don't exactly kiss the shoulder either.

I'd like to shoot a 10 gauge for kicks. I'd really like to get myself a slug gun that chambered 3 1/2 inch shells.

I had some old Super X rounds from my father. The shells were paper and they were magnum loads in a 2 3/4 cases. First time I fired on everyone stopped and look. Out of the muzzle comes a 3 foot blast and as the action cycles fire shoots out the side as well.

I shot a few more of them making a few good long range hits, but that was it. Didn't want to beat up the shotgun anymore. I think I still have a few left.

Any slugs through my S-12 just plain hurts.

That sounds exactly like the shells I had. They were impressive.
