How do I install swivel mounts on my Mossberg 500?

I was able to get off the little washer when taking it apart, but for the life of me I can not get this little ring on. Nor can I figure out how to use the spanner wrench it came with to help here. I feel like an idiot, but the instructions it came with sucked and I can’t seem to find a video on how to do this.

I’m beyond frustrated at this point. This won’t go any further than the first thread.

Upon further inspection it appears all the tightening I have done has just stripped the threads off the end of it. I think I’m just gonna have to cut the washer off at this point. It’s not moving at all. Once our gun stores are allowed to open I’ll just have them do it.

Just use a needle pliers to hold the washer (insert the sharp points of plier in the washer openings) and spin the bolt.
          They all the same.

Can you back the washer off? If so take it off the bolt and little by little file the teeth down on the washer. Little by little and when I say little I mean little. Clean the flattened threads up when you're done.

              Is this your kit?

It comes with the attachment bolt.

I will try both of these! I was just a little frustrated when I posted that. Thank you.

I had the same problem. Just left the washer off, and it hasn't made any difference.

....... I have no idea why that thought didn't cross my mind . As long as it is screwed in...it won't matter. I just need to hold onto when changing barrels so I don't lose it...
