    CLEANING KIT CHOICES

What is a good kit to get for a old 12 ga double barrel?

will those wires brushes be harmful to older barrels?

The ARM 1216CA had a "bullet button" style magazine release that required a tool to remove the tubular magazines and it was CA legal from 2011-2016.

Starting 01-01-2017, it became a CA assault weapon and if you owned one before 2017, you had to register it as an assault weapon before 07-01-2018 or dispose of it out-of-state or render it permanently inoperable or surrender it to law enforcement for destruction.

Because the tubular magazines can be removed without disassembling the firearm's action, it no longer meet's CA definition of a fixed magazine and are considered assault weapons. [PC 30515(a)(7)]

Currently, there is no non-permanent method to modify the SRM 1216 so that it has a fixed magazine.

If your SRM 1216CA is a RAW:
    1. While in CA, it is illegal to advertise it for sale.
    2. While in CA, it is legal to only sell it to a CA FFL dealer with an assault weapons permit.
    3. It is legal to take it out-of-state and sell it to or through an out-of-state FFL dealer.

It your SRM 1216CA is not a RAW:
    1. While in CA, it is illegal to possess it. [PC 30605(a)]
    2. While in CA, it is illegal to advertise it for sale or transfer it. [PC 30600(a)]
    3. It is illegal to transport within CA. [PC 30600(a)]

I believe they are no longer doing the bullet button thing... they now use a "port cover" to load the "fixed" mag.

Here's a post I just made in another thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...2&postcount=17

You should call them to inquire about their current CA version.

How does this shotgun compare to the TS-12 by IWI?

I've never shot both. You'd have to research I guess...

The SRM is more expensive though.
