    folding stock

Is there some new law that I have not heard of regarding folding stocks. I have a Mossberg 500 with a Choate folder on it. The pull is too long for me and So I tried to find on from a different maker. No luck anywhere!

CA laws regarding folding/telescoping stock on shotguns have not changed since 01-01-2000.

Folding/telescoping stock are prohibited on semi-auto shotguns that have a pistol grip, thumbhole stock, or a vertical handgrip. [PC 30515(a)(6)]

ATI also makes a top folding stock for the Mossberg 500, but the length of pull is the same as the Choate top folding stock.

If you want a different length of pull, look at the various collapsible side folding stocks.

Thanks Quiet. The Choate is a side folder. I was looking for a Butler Creek one but they are not sold anywhere. I may just can the folder and put a pistol grip on it. It's just for home defense. Too bad we can't have the short Shockwave in this state.

Why would you want a folding stock for HD?

If a standard stock is too long, why not a fixed short stock like a Hogue?

My Remington 870 HD is fine for home defense, kinda like the stock.
