Barrel threading service for adding removable chokes

    Hello,

I'm looking to have remchoke threads added to my 1100 barrel that doesn't accept chokes.

Anyone have a referral? Local or not, just looking for good work at a reasonable price.

    Thanks

I'd recommend R & D Custom Barrel Service in Pico Rivera, CA. The owner Bob Day worked on my 1100 20ga barrel to accept screw-in chokes. He is also a calgunner

On an 1100 it might be cheaper to just buy a new barrel.

Probably true, unless it's an odd 1100 like an LT20. Lots of clean, used 12ga barrels around.

If you do thread the current barrel, Bob Day is your guy.

My dad had him put screw in chokes in an older 870 he has.

Cool, that's the one shop I had looked into. I actually grew up in Pico Rivera lol.

This is crazy. Twice in one night agreeing with YSR, but cheaper to buy a threaded barrel.

Welcome to the dark side, my friend.

Having a barrel threaded on an 870 or 1100 is a waste of money. New replacement barrels are cheap to buy.

I had Briley Mfg install threaded chokes on a barrel, 30 years ago, when this was a new process, and I have been satisfied with their work since.
