Browning A5 VS Silver Hunter

Buying a new sporting clays/trap/skeet 12GA and narrowed it down between a new A5 and Silver Hunter

I’d take a Belgium A5 over a Silver Hunter, but I don’t care for the look of the new A5.

I've never shot a new A5, but the reviews are not good.

Bought a 12g Silver Black Lightning last year because i liked the more traditional look. Performance has been flawless with multiple brands of cheap and higher end target ammo. I even broke quite a few clays my first time out with it despite a 10 year hiatus from the sport.

I have a new A5 full camo, and I really like it. I haven't had a single problem with it. I can't say that about all of my guns, so I'm happy with it.

I love my silver hunter 30" 12ga. I believe it's discontinued though.

Have you looked at the Winchester SX3 & SX4? Essentially a Browning Silver, and there are several models/configurations to choose from.

I ended up with a new A5. Dicks Sporting Goods was having a "no longer carrying guns" clearance sale and ended up getting one 50% off msrp

Hell, I threw out an unworn set of boots I'd bought just before they started their guns are bad crap, and I don't regret it whatsoever!

The manager was pissed they were doing away with hunting gear. They were supposed to keep fishing gear in stock but corporate pulled the plug on that too and they were told to box everything up and send it in
