    Question on an old JC Higgins

    I was checking some auctions and I was wondering if I need to notify these people they are attempting to sell a SBS?

          It is a firearm part not a firearm. No receiver with it. Just like an ar upper.

              I'm wondering why you feel you need permission from somebody here. If you cannot stand to myob, I'd say shoot them a message ASAP!

                      Looked to me like the barrel has a cut in it near the receiver.

                          What? The receiver is the part stamped JC Higgins 583.9. It's a bolt action shotgun.

                              Also to me but if it fires even once in a non standard configuration it qualifies.

                                  You are correct all it needs is a bolt to fire. At least they listed it correctly as OTHER. NFA firearms including Short Barreled Shotguns are OTHER according to ATF.
