    Benelli Love

Busting my Shotgun Post Cherry...always love for Shotty's. Shot pumps 1970's and 1982 (Big 5 Van Nuys, CA @ $139.99) bought still in the safe shoot every now and then Mossberg 500 ATP 18". Did a very short stint with Skeet (Browning Citori).

    Benelli M1 Super 90's:

    > 1995 HK import-Tactical Pistol Grip-ghost ring sights-7rd mag extension - BNIB Time Capsule from the LA Police Pistol and Athletic club. Bought from a fellow CG'r and busted out last Friday. Will shoot this...a lot...perfect for Zombies.

    > 1999 Benelli Import-Tactical Field Stock-rifle sights-7rd mag extension - bought from the World Famous National Guns, Northridge, CA - BNIB - sits in the safe since new.

    Good stuff.
I remember National Guns. Thats where I bought my first handgun, a Glock 21. I remember they used to have these oak barrels with milsurps stuffed in them. All flat rate cash and carry. Ahhh those were the days. After National I'd go to Pony Express and then to B&B. Yip the good ol days...

      Pony Express

The Elithorpe's were family friends - Pony Express, Encino (a new Chick Filla' just opened on that corner) then moved to Van Nuys by Anheuser Busch. Joe then closed it all up and moved to Idaho. F-City of LA and CA as he would say...

Now that was a gun store.

that HK benelli M1 tactical with ghost ring sights is collectible status now. mine is still unfired inside it's original box. even better if you send it to taran tactical so they can turn it into a fully modified beast.

            How much Collectible

Get HK Benelli imports and desirability; especially the M1 Super 90 Tactical.

How much more value-fast forward 10 years-worth $2k BNIB in CA? Really not enough $$$.

Since shooting just for fun, keep the HK Tactical BNIB and break out the regular old Benelli? What say those more knowledgeable than I in this market.

For me shooting either or would be fun enuf just for fun...

In the FWIW category, Buds sourced a bunch of new M1 Super 90 28 inchers and is selling them for $750. These might be a better starting point if you want one for customization:

Everyone needs to own at least one Italian shotgun, here's an opportunity to do just that without breaking the bank. The Benelli M1 Super 90 is one of the smooth

Hmmm those are interesting. They're basically reissues of the M1. Its an M2 that looks like an M1. Tempting...but transfer + tax really kills it.

I loved going in and looking at everything they had. A friend worked at the Encino store when he was in high school.

So how far away are these from being a "real" M2? What M1 parts were added?

It's not that M1 parts where added, it's an M2 with replicated M1 furniture. So M2 trigger pack, M2 barrel, M2 everything with a non-comfortech stock with shim kit. It seems pretty interesting...but I wonder is it just the cheapest Benelli or an overpriced Franchi at this point. There's a youtube review and comments on Bud's webpage about it.

Interesting; so it's an entry level M2.

A guy could buy this shotgun, pick up a defense barrel, a +1 extension, and maybe even an aftermarket stock, and pretty much have a do-it-all semiauto shotgun for less than the price of an M2 field.

And if it's an M2, support isn't an issue since it takes all M2 parts...

Keep in mind though, Benelli barrels are Mad Expensive:

Check out the deal on Benelli 18.5" M2 Tactical 12ga Barrel W/ Ghost Ring Sights at MGW

I know, you get what you pay for, but modding one of those shotguns isn;t a cheap proposition.

Not modding anything new; as Dirk stated it's an expensive proposistion on a Benelli. Don't need anything more than M1 Super 90 Tactical.

So keeping my New2Me Tactical and have put my "Field" stock up for sale.
