    ATI .410 recoil reduction? (Breaks/ buffers/gas blocks)

Trying to build a very low recoil .410 for my grand dad with a bad shoulder and IDK if the 410 is a different animal.

I hear the Muzzle break is a good option but I can't find one in .410. I see they make on for a saiga but don't know if they are interchangeable? Anyone know of something that would work?

IDK if an adjustable gas block would help with the .410 upper?

Any opinions on the recoil reducing buffers? Seems like ppl say they sound good but don't notice much reduction in felt recoil.

    Any opinions would be great.

    Thanks all.

The CH mercury filled tubes that fit inside H&R handi rifles do work and noticeably reduce recoil. (I have a 45/70 Handi). Handi wood stock models have a 3/4" hole already drilled into the stock so they slide right in. The same company CH sells them for other guns.

    CH makes them.
QuickDToo the resident handi rifle guru, same company H&R made the 'Pardner' shotguns, some had the same hole in the buttstock ready to slip in the CH mercury tubes.

I finally got a chance to sight in my 45/70 since i cut the barrel to 18" I didn't get to use the chrony but will in the spring.I put a 16 Oz mercury suppressor in the stock and yes they work as compared to the 16 oz steel bar i had in the stock . recoil was stout but the rifle was a pleasure to...

Gun fit and mounting is crucial. Attend a Calguns skeet clinic for gun fit and mounting instruction. Then learn to reload and craft him some nice low recoil shells that still cycle.

Guys this is a .410 ! There isn't enough recoil to hurt anyone.

You don't need recoil mitigation and you don't need reduced loads.

If he can't take it then put a big Limbsaver recoil pad on the gun. their slip on pads cost $20 at Walmart and they work really well, and soften the recoil of anything down to a very soft push.

If he still can't take it then shooting from the hip is the next best option.

The OP says grandpa has a bum shoulder. Speaking from experience bum shoulders suck.
