I have a remington 870 and want to start shooting 12 gauge slugs and buck shot loads. DO i need a choke for these loads. I just shoot 12 gauge regular shot through it. It nothing speical gun. Just a regular shotgun, But need to shoot slugs from it and help is appreicated

Just for future reference, you don't really ever *need* a choke for anything per se. A choke just enhances your firearm. A cartridge will go boom regardless of whether you have a choke. If you're hunting, a choke may be necessary to shoot well, but it is not necessary to simply shoot.
Where it gets tricky is with some rounds, like slugs, you should not use certain types of chokes, like particularly tight ones.Comment
