Did this last night
I put it in the rack, turned around, and out of the corner of my eye, saw it fall.

I'm not a gun smith or even know what type of material that is but the first thought that comes to my mind is that Automotive locksmiths often carry these little Automotive specialty hand controled airbags. They're like a blood pressure cuff except they are only meant to spread open the car door jamb just enough for them to get their wire down and unlock the door.

I don't know if they make a small enough one to fit inside that slot but that would allow you to have a nice gradual control on the pressure you exert and it wouldn't leave any type of scratches.

But a good gunsmith might have a small specially made straightening type vice with non scratching jaws, just for such damage, that probably happens pretty frequently.

I did this to one of my shotguns about 30 years ago. I sent the barrel to Briley and they fixed it. https://www.briley.com/ I don't know what it takes to fix it, but maybe contact Kendog4570 or ar15barrels.

put a padded C-clamp on each of the posts so they don't separate from the barrel
use a belt sander to shape the wedge. Rough dimensions would be 3/4" wide, 2" long, gradually tapering from 0"' to 3/8" thick over 1" of length or so (none of the measurements are critical) Neither hardwood or nylon should scratch your barrel.
