    Stoeger M3K Purchased!

    Hello Shotgun gang,
This subforum is so quiet, I have to share my latest acquisition. It is a Stoeger M3K I bought last Thursday from Sportsmans Warehouse in Fairfield.

I will be able to take possession on/after Sept. 29th. I am quite excited for this purchase as I didn't have any 12 gauge shotgun for several months now. I sold off my Mossberg 930 Home Security model and Remington 870, months and months ago.

I felt " naked " without a shotgun so I had to buy one. I saw the Stoeger M3K selling for $ 599.00 at Sportsmans Warehouse, and the price was on par with several internet sellers that I compared with at the time I bought it.

Rather buying from the internet (where I don't get to handle the piece), I figured I should just buy from a local seller and support the local economy.

I have a few projects in mind for the Stoeger M3K: A) 3 rounds extended magazine tube from MOA precision. B) Benelli extractor and spring.

    That's it gang.

Good bang for the buck. I have one, and so far no issues. A few upgrades, carrier, extractor, and a little extension.

        dkonrai,

How difficult/easy is it to change the carrier?

Very easy. Take down is pretty simple.
          5 minutes or so.
To clarify, I replaced the lifter. The thing that shoves the round into the chamber.

Doesn't the lifter point the shell to the chamber, so that the bolt can shove the round into the chamber?

Correct. I swapped the lifter, plan was to three gun, but two shoulder injuries stopped that.

I ordered the extended magazine kit from MOA precision (extended magazine tube, magazine cap, adapter, spring, and magazine follower).

I was also looking for the Benelli extractor and spring but it is out of stock.

The M3K, I will be able to pick up on Sunday.
