.410 O/U

Why look further than the Beretta? It’s a great gun.The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either.

Beretta and Browning are about it if you want an o/u in .410 with removeable chokes. .410 is an extremely narrow diameter so most manufacturers don't bother.
If you are thinking about smaller bores for light recoil & weight, then you should consider .28 and .20 guages which will offer more choices in shells and manufacturers.Vae VictisComment

You could purchase a CZ for less than the (2) '"B's" mentioned above have chokes installed and still have a bucks left over. As mentioned, consider the 28 or 20 gage instead of the .410, especially if you are going hunting in California utilizing steel shot.Last edited by mwr; 09-03-2019, 5:58 AM.Comment

True but not many bucks left over and in the end it would still be a CZ (nothing against them I have owned a few, good guns). Would end up spending close to a browning or berettaComment

.410's are really cool, especially O/U's. As others have already stated the B's are the basic choices.
You might check at some of the local ranges, especially skeet ranges as there are used ones that come up for sale periodically ( I say "Skeet" because .410 is a skeet gun, but great for hunting dove). A 28 gauge is more forgiving and a great gauge unto itself. I gotta get some steel shot loading data myself for that gauge. If you're not using it for hunting, just clays and training birds, you might consider tubing your 20 gauge if it's an O/U. Problem with tubes is they are NOT steel compatible, so lead only.Comment

I have shot 28 training also, same friend. I was was basically just shocked at how effective .410 was in shooting birds for training purposes. Yes I would want to use for hunting dove also. Yes my 20 is o/u, citori feather lightening. Tubing is out. Most of my guns are geared for bird hunting, i shoot clays very few times and the birds shot for dog training have to be shot with steel..410's are really cool, especially O/U's. Out of curiosity, I visited budsgunshop and tapped-in ".410 o/u shotgun" and several popped-up. Of those with chokes, some brands I've never heard of in the $400 range, but Savage & Mossberg also came-up in the $500s.
Go give that site a look and see if anything tickles your fancy.

Have you thought about putting Briley tubes in a 12ga shotgun? I can shoot four different gauges with the same gun. Cost for fitted tubes and chokes is about the same as the Beretta O/U.
