Side Saddle Install Permanent?

I was wondering if adding a side saddle to a shotgun on the side of the receiver is permanent. I have been thinking about adding one, but am a little apprehensive about doing something semi-permanent to my 870P Max.

While we are on the subject could someone recomend a good quality side saddle in case I do go that route?

Mesa Tactical makes an awesome product. I have a nice and cheap ATI folding stock and shell holder on my mossberg, it gets the job done .

I have one that attaches to the side of my Gold via velcro and a strap around the receiver. I'm in the process of remaking the part that attaches though, something that retains the shells better than the 3/4" elastic cloth I have now. Something on the order of 2" elastic cloth. if I ever finish it, I may post pics.
