    Rem. Model 58's

I know they where made from 1956 to 1964. How can I tell what year a particular gun was made? The earlier models 56-61 would be C&R correct? Is there a for sure way to find the exact date of manufacture?

    Thanks in advance.

The barrel code stamp is the only way to accurately date a Remington rifle or shotgun, and that's only if the barrel hasn't been changed.
