    Browning Auto 5

I inherited my dad's Browning 12 gauge Auto 5, made in Belgium 1946.
Having been made for so many years by different firms, I need to know which have compatible parts for my gun. Is the "old" A5 the same from 1902-'98?
Remington, Savage, and Japanese models have interchangeable parts? I see lots of parts available online but can't move ahead without knowing that info. Help?

Exactly what parts are you looking for? Have you consulted Art's Gun Shop yet? They can tell you exactly what works where.

Have you watched the Art's gun shop video on Youtube that I posted for you? It pretty much covers all of this.

      ><

The Belgium and Japanese A5 made by Browning are the same gun .... others who made them ,Remington etc, are not as far as I know.

Parts are easy to come by and I have used Midwest Gun Works with great success ...They have been very helpful over the phone and have parts in stock.

Look on Ebay for an A5 owners manual.....don't pay for an original as most are repos

Brownells had a bunch of parts for old BAR... hard to find parts like the sight hood, I'd start there.
