Assuming you’re talking about shells shorter than 2-3/4. Depends on the gun. Some guns work fine in the stock configuration. Some can be modified to use short shells. -
Depends on which brand of shotgun it is being used in.
But, generally, most shotguns need to be modified to improve reliability in feeding them.
Only shotgun brands that I found them (Aguila mini shells) to work without modifications is the Kel-Tec KSG and Winchester Model 1300 Defender.Last edited by Quiet; 06-23-2019, 10:25 PM.sigpic

Yes. Single shots, O/U and SxS.
IIRC, Aquilla mini shells were originally meant for killing pests in barns & warehouses so low muzzle energy was necessary to prevent excess damage & overpenetration. Common shotgun used was a break-open single shot.
I discovered they don't work in a Remington 870 after buying multiple sleeves of them. Only way to shoot them reliably was by dropping single shells into the open chamber.Last edited by CWL; 06-26-2019, 3:25 PM.Vae VictisComment
